I thought this chest would be harder for the sum of money. It does seem good, however it got a huge scrape throughout the lid inside a week of getting it, which I covered with packing tape so my son would not get nicked by means of it. The hinges on the lid completely fell off in a couple of month, so now my son just raises off the lid. The front clasp is awkward and in case you don't you'll want to close it properly, it pops open. This occured several instances inflicting my son's "treasure" to fly everywhere! Once he obtained the dangle of the way you shut the clasp, it used to be superb. Ihe cash are very skinny and very light. We sold much cheaper pirate chests for my son (because truly, he cannot have enough!) and the pirate coins are much heavier and ornate. Maybe my son is somewhat tough on his toys, however we offered the Melissa and Doug set concurrently we offered this chest and it has held up a lot better. No problems with that one in any respect, actually. I would retailer slightly money and simply buy the Melissa and Doug pirate set. That one comes with a flag, coins, and I think an eye fixed patch too.
Of direction my son does not care -- he loves everything to do with pirates so he nonetheless has a variety of fun with this chest and each pirate chest he has. So for the enjoyable aspect of it, it's fantastic! Or possibly I would buy this if you belowstand your child is rarely going to play with it or you most likely have it just for show functions.

The cash are low high quality plastic, some nonetheless had the flashing on them. Surely there needs to be a greater high quality product for the cash.
