my children received these for Christmas presents. Yes, there is no assembly as you take it out of the box, alternatively, after just one week of play, we had some assembly of our own. My children (9 and seven yrs & NOT over weight) did pogo on them a lot, however the metal stick minimize throughout the stopper at the bottom. We had to exchange the stopper at the bottom of BOTH sticks. Yes, the identical thing came about to each sticks.
